Emotional Intelligence is the ability to perceive, understand and manage emotions, both in ourselves, and others. It involves being aware of how emotions drive behaviours and impact people. By being aware of how regulating one’s own emotions can reduce stress and challenges, we can influence how the other party responds.
One day course; This concentrates on Critical Incident De-escalation, and the use of strategies to immediately begin resolving issues to prevent them escalating towards physical confrontation. The course also introduces the basis of Emotional Intelligence, how it helps achieve understanding, and can strengthen relationships.
Two day course; This is the one day course, with focus on collaboration and solution building, with an in depth look at how Emotional Intelligence can be a powerful tool when used in conjunction with Critical Incident De-escalation.
